OCEAN WAVES AND THEIR EFFECT ON SHAPING LAND

Oceans waves are created by the wind going over the ocean water. Swells are gigantic waves which are formed in any part of the ocean. A tsunami is a kind of ocean wave which was formed by an earthquake at the bottom of the ocean. When lands are farther out into the ocean that is known as Headlands. Headlands are made up of hard rock. When the waves come to the land they hit the headlands first causing sea stacks to form. A bay is different areas of water which hits into the land.
